Saturday 8th October – bike **** – Long two rivers including lunch with ‘Emily’ – sunny periods and warm.

After a windy week with three pretty full-on windsurfing sessions it was nice to have a lighter wind day, sunny and warm too:) Lovely morning doing my exercises in the back garden before packing a picnic and heading out on our bikes around one. Deciding to go and visit ‘Emily’ at Falkenham Church but go the opposite way by heading to Candlet Lane first. We enjoyed the peace and quiet at Falkenham with a top gammon roll with the usual top view down to the River Deben. Well rested we set off for home, past Kings Fleet where Mag turns right up Marsh Lane while I take the bumpy river path to the Ferry. Then past the golf course to The Dip and onto the road where a nice couple are flying three large kites on the green, so I stop and watch:) Around to the Fludgers and onto the prom which is very busy but I slowly waive my way through the crowds to the end. Then its Landguard Nature reserve, the view point and home via Langer Park and home for a verry welcome cuppa and cake:) Might be enough breeze for a foil tomorrow, fingers crossed!
